The story begins with Black, which little by little is invaded by numerous white, lightning points, transformed into types, numbers and symbols. A dazzling trip was Mariscal's proposal to the audience on his Lisbon's conference. An animated story which tells the origins and evolution of the world as well as of the ideas, concepts, humanity and knowledge; of visual and graphic language, from alphabet to mathematics, geometry, music, interiors design and architecture. On the screen, images are multiplied at the sound of an amusing and stimulating soundtrack. Mariscal is an enthusiastic - and very much polyglot - storyteller. The story begins with Black (Unknown, Chaos, Emptiness), which little by little is invaded by numerous white, lightning points, transformed into types, numbers and symbols. In this black and white world, day and night (Time/Space), police and prisons (Law/Power), hospitals, schools, (Knowledge/Science), travelling (the Other/Universe), professions, cities, capitalism, consumption, violence, war and death are symbolically visited. In this colourless world lives a man (Mariscal?), with a dog and a child ' the Lonesome Hero, the Faithful Friend and the Eternal Child. They walk towards the sea and watch the rising of light and colour. First the Blue. The colour of dreams, of thought, of soul, of heaven. The colour of an infinite blue sky, splashed by white clouds, where the planet known as the Earth of the wide oceans is born. Blue, the colour of rain, which contains life. Life is light. Yellow light. The image of a dry landscape, where only Callas' voice shines. The desert of yellow and hot sands, of distant and different lands. Yellow of the summer beaches' sand, which is footprinted by tourists during their vacations, in the south of Spain or in Algarve. Mariscal's Hero reappears madly driving his convertible throughout the city of fast food, bars, music, friends, motels, passion, sex. He enjoys all this moments with pleasure and freedom, listening Don't get me wrong. The sun goes down and the red of passions takes the place of the blue and the yellow. Red, colour of blood running through the veins. The same colour of drafted hearts, of life and emotions. Red is the colour of love and passion: passion for Spain, for other cultures, for science and technology, for art; the revolution of ideas and political systems. In the end, all colours are mixed up. Reality is multicoloured. Mariscal celebrates life, philosophy and design through a very personal idea of the origins of the universe, of individuals and day life. With his speech 'we could better call it a performance' he demonstrated how disciplines and realities apparently apart can after all make sense if understood as parts of an unbreakable totality.
