Useless is in the eye of the Beholder

How can we define the level of usefulness of an object? We will devise instruments from other objects and materials. These objects answer a specific purpose set at the start of the activity. For instance: assembling a pair of glasses to make a minimalist landscape or a clock that counts space instead of time.

Useful or useless? It happens

Let’s think about a concept of use and its absence by looking at a set of obsolete objects. We will closely unveil their history, how they were produced, what their function was, as well as the reasons why they became irrelevant or expendable. Through design methodologies we will find them a new place in the present context, re-establishing their value and use.
