Mutant molds
WORKSHOP
Low tech/handmade laboratory gathers 6 designers that present their work by doing it.
The goal is to show what happens in an atelier. The public is invited to participate in this laboratory by learning and working techniques, from wickerwork to ceramics, but using materials such as plastic or wood. Each workshop has a different theme, depending on the work of the designer in charge. The aim is to create an object using the techniques taught, through practice.
Inserted in a self-production context and promoting a classical approach within the liquid framing process, mutant molds allow variation of shapes using the same mold. Build molds by using controlled or random combinations of layered plaster blocks, and shaping them using pins, ribbons and rubber bands.
