Remaining true to its objective of catalysing synergies and creating integrative work platforms, the Biennale has been committed to absorbing a series of independent projects that through their conceptual logic and relevance fall into its universe. Presented in various locations throughout the city, these events confirm the vitality of the Portuguese creative community within the areas of architecture, design, fashion design and jewellery, as well as confirming Lisbon as an international stage for emergent creative values.

While those within the creative field will continue to be invited and challenged to participate, this year, companies will also be called upon, highlighting the bridge that design establishes between the economy and culture and the concept of the creative economy.
