SYS is a project without borders, a transcontinental collaboration of ideas and processes. A collection of intelligent furniture, that creates relationships between designers, users and the processes of digital generation, design and analysis.

In the context of Lisbon and Los Angeles, parallel and intersecting ideas and concepts emerge, and from those relationships project SYS is born. Dynamic and intelligent furniture that is born from interactive digital processes initiated by the designer and further adapted to the users, environments, physical and structural characteristics of each project. The digital processes of design, generation and analysis are integral to these pieces and will make way for methods of digital fabrication.

SYS is the collaboration of three designers/architects, Filipa Valente (limiLAB), Luis Carvão and Brimet Silva (Digitalab). Each designer will present a furniture/installation piece, all having in common the theme of digital design, generation and fabrication processes.
