experimentadesign presents the first edition of The Future of the Future, a symposium that explores the creative economy and innovation in the 21st century.

São Paulo, a city that irrevocably stands as one of the great world centres of this century and that represents an ideal base for the exploration of new economic models with a transversal and interdisciplinary logic, will host the launch of this initiative on the 23rd and 24th of September. This presentation results from a co-production with Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação and is integrated into the new partnership dynamic that experimentadesign is developing with Brazil.

The Future of the Future promotes the creative economy as a catalyst for a new approach to economic development, underlining its potential for the promotion of social inclusion, cultural diversity and human development. It stands as a platform for discussion and prospection, as well as a vehicle for cooperation and the creation of collaborative networks and projects.

Bringing together some of the most important international protagonists of the creative economy, this new initiative reveals experiences, knowledge and research. With a strong networking component and designed for a qualified and demanding audience, this event incorporates successful individuals, leaders form various areas, acclaimed academics, great thinkers, managers, innovators and creators.

Programmed within the scope of the Ano de Portugal no Brasil (Year of Portugal in Brazil) and integrated into the logic of this initiative, The Future of the Future in São Paulo conveys a two-day programme organized into segments of keynote speakers, debates and case studies, presenting as its geostrategic centre the Portuguese language and four countries where it is spoken – Portugal, Brazil, Angola and Mozambique, along with an articulation with Europe, the USA, India and China.
