Surrounding us everywhere we look, the work of graphic designers creates a visual narrative that becomes part of our social dialogue. It is this visual narrative, its ingredients and the environment it constructs that Idioms sets out to explore, encouraging a fresh outlook by choosing an unusual context.
Shown at Silo-Espaço Cultural, a gallery space in a large shopping centre in Porto, Idioms plays up the venue’s visually charged ambiance, proposing a take, a ‘behind the scenes’ view of the designer’s skills, tools and methods.
